How to Make Super Gut Yogurt with Dr. William Davis

Yogurt Recipe

  • 1 capsule of MyReuteri (L. reuteri)
  • 1 tablespoon inulin (prebiotic fiber)
  • 1 quart organic half-and-half
  • A heating device that maintains 100°F for 36 hours

Use half-and-half for best texture and fermentation. (Dr. Davis doesn’t limit saturated fat or calories.)

Note: Coconut milk can be used, but extra steps are needed to prevent separation.

Steps

  • Preheat the half-and-half to 180°F, then let it cool to 100°F or below.
  • Whisk in 1 tablespoon inulin, 1 tablespoon monk fruit sweetener, and 1 teaspoon guar gum.
  • Blend briefly with a stick blender (optional for smooth texture).
  • Add the contents of 1 capsule of MyReuteri. Stir gently.
  • Cover and incubate at 100°F for 36 hours.
  • Refrigerate and enjoy daily.
