Gary Taubes, author of Good Calories and Bad Calories, has come out with a new book.

An updated edition, Why We Get Fat And What To Do About It is a summary of that earlier work, a much quicker and easier read.

When it comes to weight loss, the current thinking is to simply eat less and exercise more. 

Yet this tells us nothing as to why we actually accumulate fat. 

In short, weight loss and weight gain is all about insulin. Keep your insulin levels low and you'll lose body fat - without dieting or exercise.
