Study: Americans Less Healthy Than They Think

Just because you might look good on the outside, does not necessarily mean you're healthy on the inside.

A new study shows many are in denial in regards to their health - and are less healthy than they think.

"There is a disconnect," said Keri Gans, about the study's participants. "It's surprising."

The real disconnect may be continuing to follow conventional wisdom on diet, fitness and health.

While a healthy body weight and BMI is a good thing, we should also be aware of blood sugar and insulin levels, as well as inflammation and triglycerides/HDL ratios.

Until Americans begin to take charge of their own health and stop relying on the agenda-driven government and media to give them information for living a healthy lifestyle, real overall change will be difficult to achieve.
